Donald Goldsmith

Donald Goldsmith is the author, co-author, or editor of 21 books on astronomy, astrophysics, and physics, including The Astronomers, The Runaway Universe, Exoplanets, Supernova!, The Hunt for Life on Mars, Mysteries of the Milky Way, Connecting with the Cosmos, Origins (with Neil deGrasse Tyson), and The End of Astronauts (with Martin Rees).  He received his Ph.D. and J.D. degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1969 and 1983, respectively.  Dr. Goldsmith has served as a science advisor and co-writer for several television documentary programs or series, including Carl Sagan’s “Cosmos,” “The Astronomers,” Neil Tyson’s “Cosmos,” and “Is Anybody Out There? with Lily Tomlin.”
