Gary Stutte
Dr. Gary Stutte, is a horticulturist, plant physiologist and space biologist who led research efforts to develop safe, sustainable food production systems for long duration space missions to Moon, Mars and Beyond at NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center for 25 years.
In 2015 he founded SyNRGE, LLC (Pronounced Synergy) to apply the knowledge and insights gained from growing plants in space to feeding people on Earth.
Dr. Stutte has been principal investigator on four experiments to the International Space Station, has published more than 150 peer-reviewed publications, and is the recipient of numerous honors and awards.
Dr. Stutte currently shares his expertise with commercial clients, serves as senior advisor to public and private organizations, and active in envisioning a future where controlled environment agriculture will ensure the availability of safe and nutritious food anywhere in the universe.
